Oxytocin provides structured programs using an individualized client care model. This model allows us to meet the clients where they are at in life and provide superior and quality service for both substance abuse and mental health. We offer several services at several levels of care. We focus on the whole individual. This includes the family system.
Level .5 – Early Intervention Services
Early intervention services are a precursor to treatment. They are designed for adults or adolescents who are at risk of developing a substance use disorder but do not display any diagnostic criteria to be admitted into treatment.
During early intervention, treatment focuses on the risk factors that predispose the person to drug addiction and educates the individual about the negative repercussions of drug and alcohol misuse.
The duration of early intervention services greatly depends on the client’s understanding of the perils of substance use and whether he or she makes behavioral changes to avoid the path to drug addiction. Clients are closely monitored for symptoms that indicate they need a higher level of treatment.
Level I – Outpatient Services
Outpatient treatment requires clients to attend regularly scheduled meetings. This level of treatment allows clients to carry on with their routine while receiving face-to-face services with addiction or mental health professionals. It is ideal for people who have jobs or a strong support system at home, and it typically costs less than other levels of treatment.
Level I care includes evaluation, treatment and recovery follow-up services. It addresses the severity of the individual’s addiction, helps implement behavioral changes and addresses mental functioning. Clients may transition to the first level of treatment from a more robust program. Level I is also a stepping stone for people who are not ready or willing to commit to a complete recovery program.
Level II – Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program
Intensive Outpatient Treatment (also known as IOP for "Intensive Outpatient Program") is a primary treatment program recommended in some circumstances by a clinical and medical assessment. IOP may be recommended for those who do not need medically-supervised detox. IOP can also enable people in recovery to continue their recovery therapies following successful detox, on a part-time yet intensive schedule, designed to accommodate work and family life.
Start rebuilding your personal life and mending your important family ties right away, when you live at home and participate in intensive outpatient treatment. With the Intensive Outpatient Treatment program you are able to establish a foundation for long term recovery support in your local community right from the start of your treatment, instead of waiting until you return from living away in a treatment center.
Our dedicated teen drug/alcohol treatment program helps adolescents with customized, evidence-based methods, involving a multi-disciplinary clinical team with participation from family members, addressing the root causes of substance abuse and addiction.
Level III – Inpatient Treatment
While not providing this level of care, the staff at Oxytocin is ready to help with referrals and questions when this level of care is clinically indicated.
Level IV – Detoxification and Medical Stabilization
When this is clinically indicated, Oxytocin's staff coordinates and refers to local and regional providers.
Co-Occurring Treatment Services
At times there is more than one condition that needs to be addressed. For clients who have co-occurring substance abuse and mental health disorders, services are provided. Oxytocin is dual diagnosis capable and can meet the needs of clients whose psychiatric disorders are stable and who are capable of independent functioning. This insures that their mental health disorders do not significantly interfere with their addiction treatment experience.
Ability to pay IS NOT a prerequisite to receive help for chemical dependency or mental health. Oxytocin utilizes a sliding fee scale and a social worker on staff to help you with very hard to negotiate life issues.
