5. Billing & Financial Responsibility
Insurance Verification
Although Oxytocin will verify insurance benefits whenever possible, verification does not guarantee payment.
Coverage
Insurance companies determine medical necessity and covered benefits. Clients remain financially responsible for services not covered by insurance.
Prior Authorization
Certain insurance plans require prior authorization before treatment begins or continues. Delays or denials by your insurance carrier may affect coverage.

Court-Ordered Services
Many court-ordered services, including DUI/ACT assessments, MIP assessments, educational classes, and other legal requirements, are not covered by health insurance because they are performed to satisfy a legal obligation rather than to diagnose or treat a medical condition.
Payment for these services is the client's responsibility unless another payment arrangement has been approved.

Appointments not canceled within the required notice period or missed appointments may be subject to cancellation or no-show fees that are not billable to insurance.
Billing Corrections
Oxytocin reserves the right to correct billing errors and submit corrected insurance claims when appropriate.
Care Coordination
With appropriate authorization or as otherwise permitted by law, Oxytocin may coordinate care with physicians, therapists, hospitals, probation officers, attorneys, schools, or other treatment providers to support continuity of care.
